This one is interesting. I don't know that I ever listened to this with Dad (but God knows, I may have). When I was a kid I watched the mini-series "The Holocaust". The theme music was very haunting, and one time I hummed it for Dad. He knew what it was (he always knew)- The Moldau from Smetana's "Ma Vlast"- My Fatherland. I have loved it ever since. This piece is too long for one YouTube video, so you have to listen to both. You can really hear the water, starting out as a trickle and then winding its way through the countryside until it becomes a raging, crashing river. As a side note, when I was waiting for the appraiser to meet me at Dad's house, I was sitting in my car in the driveway and this music came on- maybe a little message from George. I like to think so.

I love these memory's. The story of our life can sometimes be the most compelling. I appreciate you sharing these.
Hi Bob,
Thanks for popping by. Dad knew that music was best when it was shared. I'm glad you're enjoying this.
Love, Lisa
