I have heard from the orphanage director again. When I wrote to her last week I asked if there was anything I could donate to the orphanage- a gift. She said that they could really use a video camcorder because they want to start videotaping the children for their files. That sounded good to me, and I said I'd be happy to donate one and asked her what kind she wanted. She wrote back and told me the model number of the one they wanted. I looked it up online. $$$.
