I got an email from my travel coordinator this morning saying that her in-China contact couldn't get some or all of the train tickets, so our other option was to fly. It was a little bit of needless anxiety- not the end of the world but kind of irritating. I wasn't sure why they needed to tell me the day before we leave considering I sent in the money and planned on this two weeks ago.

Anyway, all's well that ends well. I just got another email, and the coordinator got the tickets. I packed for the kids this morning, and I got money and food for the cat. I need to pack for myself and make sure everyone has a shower today. The airport shuttle arrives at 4:40 tomorrow morning. I don't think I'll have any trouble sleeping on the plane; work kicked my ass this weekend and I'm beyond exhausted.
