Can I just say wow? I posted to my SWI yahoo group about the gift for the orphanage and several people have contacted me about making donations- me, a complete stranger- so I can purchase the gift. I am very moved by this act of faith and the goodness of people. Thank you so very much. I'll be sure to get pictures.

In other news, I've been making laminated cards with chinese phrases on them: "we're here to adopt a child"; "where's the bathroom?", etc. We will have a guide with us most of the time, so I don't know if we'll need them, but it was fun anyway.

Someday... you will be stranded somewhere with a torn suitcase and you will say, "Why, oh why didn't I bring duct tape? If only Lisa was here, she would be able to handle this problem."
