A map, for those not familiar with the geography of China. Beijing is in the north east. Nanchang (not Nanjing) is in east central. Guilin is south and west of Nanchang, and Guangzhou is south and east of Guilin. Hong Kong is just east and south of Guangzhou. (click map to see bigger version). Since China is approximately the size of the US, going from Beijing to Guangzhou is kind of on the scale of Maine to Florida.
